WEEK #3 WAIVER WIRE

So I'm sitting at the bar (remarkable how many stories of mine start out that way) when I glance at the ticker on the bottom of one of the screens and see that the Colts have traded for Trent Richardson.  My first thought is I must have read that wrong.  Teams don't make trades during the season in football.  So I hop on my smartphone, go directly to Twitter, and find out it is true.  Jim Irsay said so.  And he's the boss so he should know.  Being a Colts fan, this is big news.  This is HUGE news.  I'm in shock.  How did they pull a move like this off?  I start texting my friends to break the news to them.  I feel like Chris Mortensen or John Clayton.  I'm the insider with the info.  Of course, they don't believe me.  But one after another, they succumb to the same shocked feeling that I had.  Unbelievable.

Then I realize it.  The same friends that I am giving this breaking news to are the same guys in my fantasy football league.  What have I done?  I'm now scrambling to try and figure out who is gonna replace Richardson in Cleveland.  I hop online and check depth charts.  First glance, Bobby Rainey looks like the guy.  So I immediately goto my ESPN FFL app and add him, dropping handcuff Bryce Brown in the process.  But who in the hell is Bobby Rainey?  I read up on him.  He's not the guy.  Looks like Chris Ogbonnaya is the guy.  So I pick him up, dropping Rainey (who was immediately picked up by Sean).  Then I read that Willis McGahee is being brought in for a physical.  Bam.  Gotta get him too.  So I pick him up, cutting the Steelers defense.  I'm set now for sure.

For a defense, rolling this week with the Buffalo Bills against the rookie QB led NY football Jets.  Should get some sacks out of Super Mario Williams.  He had 4.5 last week against Cam Newton.  Not an easy task.  They will hopefully also force a turnover or two out of Geno Smith.  That seems like a safe bet.
